Social Media Preferences for 18+ Podcast Listeners: YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram are the prime social media destinations for podcast listeners. • 18-24 year olds prefer YouTube (4.2) followed by Instagram (3.6) • 25-34, 35-44 and 45-54 all preferred YouTube first, then Facebook. • Adult 55+ preferred Facebook first, followed by YouTube. *On a scale of 1-5, 1 being not at all, 5 being all the time, we asked podcast listeners their preference levels of social media. For the total audience, YouTube was first preference followed by Facebook and Instagram. As we are able to request podcasts by voice on more devices, we’ll see these numbers change. Actually, choices like Alexa or Siri weren’t even on the survey, so that could mean this underplayed how many people use voice to access podcasts as it is.
