• 5 min

The passage for today is Proverbs 29:11. It says, "A fool always loses his temper, but a wise man holds it back." This verse teaches us that it is important to control our anger. When we lose our temper, we are acting like a fool. But when we are able to hold back our anger, we are acting like a wise person. There are many reasons why it is important to control our anger. First, when we lose our temper, we say and do things that we later regret. We may hurt the feelings of others, or we may even damage our relationships. Second, losing our temper can lead to violence. When we are angry, we are more likely to lash out at others. This can lead to physical fights, or it can even lead to more serious crimes. Third, losing our temper can damage our health. When we are angry, our bodies release stress hormones that can increase our blood pressure and heart rate. This can lead to health problems such as heart disease and stroke. For all of these reasons, it is important to learn how to control our anger. There are many things that we can do to control our anger. We can learn to identify the things that trigger our anger, and we can develop strategies for dealing with those triggers. We can also learn to relax and to calm ourselves down when we start to feel angry. If we are able to control our anger, we will be happier and healthier. We will also be more successful in our relationships and in our careers. So let's all strive to be wise people who hold back our anger.
