America and guns: tyranny of the minority

Yet in the 23 years since Columbine, the 15 years since Virginia Tech, the ten years since Sandy Hook, the four years since Parkland, nothing from Congress. Following the Uvalde shooting, senators on both sides have hinted at some possible legislation. Is change coming? We speak to Matt Frei, who has spent years reporting on the US, covered many presidential elections and unfortunately many mass shootings. We discuss whether there is a fundamental problem with America’s democracy, where the majority want one thing, but the nature of its political system means that the minority often gets the last word.
