There is always going to be bias in the data. The question is not so much so if the data is biased; but more so on how it is biased. It is not a set and done deal, according to Laura. Increasingly, regulators will require more transparency on how decisions are made by algorithms, control on how such such powerful technologies will be utilized — and ultimately, how individuals and small businesses will be impacted.
