Ep 4: Let's hone in on... Change‪!‬ P.A.V.E. Podcast

    • Performing Arts

In this episode I discuss change. I will touch on how we can begin to make changes more effectively. I will also share how I personally tend to resist change, why most people do the same and how embracing change increases joy.

Change

They say from the beginning follow your heart but is that truly the right way to start?

The sequence of order the pattern of time

Can make us predictable and Melancholy like a mime

We constantly complain about wanting things to change

But then we continue to do everything the same

Weighing different options in our head, “oh maybe I could do it like this!”

To just fall back into the same routine instead

Why is it diversity we so dread?

Being paralyzed by something different gives us a life with copious limits

It can keep us from being challenged and becoming our best

Can make us succumb to fitting in just like the rest

Sure going outside your box or comfort zone can be scary

But what's life without pain ,excitement or something daring

When we go out on a limb yeah we have the power to change the flow

Oh man how we can expand our ability to grow

If we don't try we will never know

So let's modify, adjust, revise, refine let's transform

The more we do so, the better prepared we will be for the change in weather for the storms

A book that helped me to understand a bit deeper how to make change is the book " The Power of Habit" by Charles Duhigg.

Here's a link to purchase the book if you are interested.

In this fast paced world how does a woman with ADHD find the mental energy and focus to SIT and write you may wonder?...

This my poetry friend is where my special drink comes in ;)

I love MUD/WTR for so many reasons, but my favorite aspects of it are the calm, sustainable energy it gives me and the immune system boosts. Don't just take my word for it... Check out @drinkmudwtr and use my special link when you put in your order!
