833 Purpose Elevates - Ephesians 2:10
• 5 minWelcome to 2023. How should we start the year? I went to one of my favorite verses, Ephesians 2:10 When we're saved, the next thought for me is, "for what?" What are we saved for? We're saved for a relationship with God, but we're also saved to be an example to people around us. And that example isn't what we might think. Imagine being created to do works, good works, and these works are prepared beforehand. All we need to do is walk in them. Every day, the most normal thing for us might be to bless someone or to do something unexpected. What if we lived such lives of grace that people were surprised. What if we were so obviously different than the way we're portrayed in the media? Consider the things that pop into your mind as a calling from God, especially if they are for someone else, and if they cause you discomfort or expense. I need to listen to this myself. Take a minute and pray for the people listening to this podcast. That includes you, but it's not just you. Pray for the others, too. Ask God to put our ideas into action. Ask God to change the world for the better by the way we live and do our jobs. In the end, what do we have to lose?
