45. When Half of You is Gone | Michele Benyo The Beautiful Side of Grief

    • Self-Improvement

When your surviving child tells you that "Mommy, half of me is gone," that makes you stand up and take notice. Well, that was certainly the case for Michele Benyo whose young 6-year-old son died of cancer which left them all devastated, and her 3-year-old without her best friend. This defining statement cemented Michele's life purpose as a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®, an early childhood parent coach, and the founder of Good Grief Parenting. Her mission is twofold: to help parents through the unimaginable challenges of parenting while grieving the death of a child, and to help parents meet the unique needs of a child who has lost a sibling in the early childhood years. She is the map to help you navigate this when no map exists.
You don’t want to miss:
Why you need to talk to your children about grief even if they appear okay Finding a balance between dealing with your own grief with the needs of your children Discovering healthy ways to continue the bond with your loved one who died PLUS, The Four heartbeats framework and how that can help you as a parent
