42. The Long Goodbye | Lauren Schenck (Blackford)

• 51 min

Grief can come out of nowhere. Or be so drawn out over time that you may not even recognise it's there. My guest today, Lauren Blackford, experienced both types. The 'long goodbye' with her dad as he battled early-onset dementia, and the sudden, unexpected passing of her mom in 2020. With loads going on in her life she didn't give herself time to grieve her dad's passing 9 years earlier, so when her mom died, she doubled down and decided to go full speed ahead into the process. This Holistic Wellness and Integrative Nutrition Coach, and Yoga Instructor, used all the tools at her disposal from reiki, yoga, shamanic journeying, meditation to sound and crystal healing. This is a fantastic, open, honest insight into Lauren's mission to work through her grief and heal herself physically, emotionally, and spiritually. You don’t want to miss: The impactful journey of Alzheimer's on Lauren's dad and her family How life getting in the way can stop you from grieving How your relationship with your loved one doesn't end with their death PLUS, how separating trauma and demons from your loved one can lead to healing   Links and resources: Lauren's links Website: yozenity.com Facebook: facebook.com/yozenity IG: instagram.com/yozenity_with_lauren   Quote: "I think that our life is a delicate balance of the in-between.
